๐จ The devastating windstorm that struck George on Monday 11 May left behind enormous destruction.
๐ณ Our beautiful trees uprooted, roads blocked, homes damaged, families and animals stranded, and widespread power outagesโฆ yet through it all, people showed up for one another.
๐ From the hard-working George Municipality teams working day and night, to residents helping clear roads, checking on neighbours, offering shelter, food, support, and lending helping hands wherever needed โ the spirit of this town has been extraordinary. ๐
๐ฟ Seeing roads reopened, debris cleared, rescues carried out, and over 90% of electricity restored so quickly has reminded us just how strong and united our community truly is.
๐ George, as always, you have been incredible.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!
Deenie Martin and Des Kiely and the entire Oceaniqua Realty George team.
