Mphephu Plaza Extension Breaks Ground, Poised to Transform Retail Landscape in Siloam

Mphephu Plaza extension, Phase 2, officially commenced on the 16th February 2026 with trading expected to begin in April 2027. This exciting development is part of the 9,102 square meter plaza located in Siloam, Limpopo, Nzhelele, approximately 56km from Louis Trichardt.

Interestingly, Mphephu Plaza first opened its doors at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, but has since recovered remarkably well, exceeding expectations and demonstrating the resilience of the local community and the vision of its developers, Masingita Group of Companies and Malnet Holdings. Building on this success, the extension will expand the plaza to a total Gross Leasable Area (GLA) of 16,442 square meters, anchored by retail giants Shoprite and Boxer.

The extension promises to elevate the customer shopping experience with a carefully curated mix of tenants, including fashion, banking, grocery, sit down eateries and entertainment options. This strategic development is expected to not only enhance the local retail landscape but also create new economic opportunities, jobs and investments in the area.

Masingita Mall/Masingita Plaza Supports Flood-Affected Mphakane Village in Giyani

Giyani, South Africa - 6 February 2026 - Masingita Mall/Masingita Plaza, in collaboration with Kaizer Chiefs Football Club ,today delivered vital flood relief to Mphakane Village. Over 120 families received hampers stocked with essential items, reflecting Masingita Group's ethos of restoring dignity in communities.

The initiative responds to the devastating floods that led to the area being classified as a national disaster. Collective efforts by all stakeholders to ensure those affected can resume efforts of upward mobility remains a priority.

Masingita Mall's 4-in-1 Marathon concludes with resounding sucsess.This year’s highly anticipated race brought together over 1400 participants from Giyani, South Africa, and Southern Africa, solidifying its position as a flagship event. This year's edition saw increased prospects of qualifiers for major races including the prestigious Comrades Marathon.Themed Legacies, the build up encouraged runners whether taking part in the 5k,10k,21k or 42k to be part creating spaces for communities to be part of a shared goal of advancing sporting in our rural and township areas.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors, participants and esteemed guests, including Mayor Cllr Thandi Zitha.
