My journey began in the manufacturing industry, where I served at Bonwit in Cape Town, managing the Woolworths account. As a skilled coordinator, I effectively bridged the gap between buyers, sales, and manufacturing, ensuring seamless operations and obstacle removal.
Fuelled by an insatiable thirst for exploration, I embarked on a two-year adventure spanning America, Canada, and Europe. This experience not only broadened my horizons but also deepened my admiration for architecture, theatre, and the retail landscape. I had the privilege of working with Care Alternatives, making a positive impact along the way.
Following my travels, I joined Edgars as a specialist buyer in the footwear division. Armed with a year of comprehensive in-house training and relentless skills development, I successfully introduced stylish men's formal shoes into the market while expanding the popularity of the ladies' best sellers. I achieved remarkable growth, outperforming the industry average by 39% and contributing to the success of the entire chain.
With a fervent passion for driving results, I later undertook the challenge of revitalizing an active footwear business at R2M. In just two years, I transformed it into a flourishing R73M enterprise. I introduced branded footwear and implemented an extensive training strategy, crafting a training manual and personally conducting training sessions to elevate the performance of the entire sales team.
Motivated by these enriching experiences, I ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing my own venture in the footwear and wardrobe industry.
Yearning for fresh opportunities and with the responsibilities of being a parent, I felt the need for a career change. Transitioning into the property sector as a property practitioner with Aida, a company renowned for training industry stalwarts such as Pam Golding, Fine and Country and Aida Geffen, I acquired invaluable knowledge and insights.
