According to Gerhard Schutte, CEO of the Red Meat Producers' Organisation (www.rpo.co.za), only 3.5% of the production is exported compared to 5% before the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease. (Bureau for Food and Agricultural Policy), however, points out that the export potential is about 20%. SA produces quality red meat, and our prices are 30% lower than world prices."

We are very proud to have achieved a Level 1 Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) certificate. Our level 1 is reflective of our companies drive for transformation over the last number of years.

We now have a level 1 B-BBEE certificate with a 135% recognition level and is 51% black-owned, of which 36.44% is black female-owned.

We have amended our office hours from Tuesday 5 May. Our office will open at 09:00 and close at 16:00. We are doing this to accommodate our staff using public transport.

Extract from our MD's attached letter: "SCIP will also be in lockdown and will officially close on Thursday 26th March 2020 at 13:00 to allow our staff time for last minute personal errands.
