Repo rate update: planning makes all the difference

The South African Reserve Bank has raised the repo rate by 0.25 percentage points to 7.25%, taking the prime lending rate to 10.75%. Homeowners with variable-rate bonds may see their repayments rise, and buyers may need to review their budgets.
