So so sad...such a senseless accident! π’
To the parents of the Children of Vanderbijlpark who were lost in this senseless accident today, we share the words (unedited) of Tania James Dass from Lenasia, Gauteng, and we mourn with the families. We have no idea who created the poster, also shared by Tania, but thank you, it reverberates our thoughts. Unnecessary comments will be removed, please be gentle!
Sunday night to bed they went - for the next day was the start of their school week. Monday morning - '5 more minutes' - 'do I have to go' - teeth brushed, maybe time for breakfast, clean uniforms on, hair brushed, gleaming & shinning school shoes on. Then came their transport - in they went - kissing & greeting their parents, grandparents, siblings' bye - cheerfully greeting the driver & their friends. Excited now to get to school; new Teachers, new friends, new dreams await - but alas - a selfish, thoughtless action robbed them of their lives!! The sorrow to follow, the nightmare - the news no parent wants to hear!! Mothers crying, their wombs bleeding, their babies gone - dads fall to their knees - who said grown men can't cry, breakdown, weep? Tonight - households weep, empty spaces at the dinner table, empty beds, cold pillows - 13 children (the number keeps changing). We ask why LORD - South Africa mourns. We pray for these parents, siblings - for Ur strength & peace - Ur HOLY SPIRIT upon them - we r human, we donβt understand - we cry to U, LORD. When 1 mom / dad cry - we cry with u - they say the smallest coffins r the heaviest - just imagine 13 coffins - that weight push even the hardest heart. South Africa mourns.
