Grinmark was founded in 1988 as a marketing arm for Grinaker Housing, a division of the Grinaker group. In 1990 Nico du Plessis purchased Grinmark from the Grinaker group. Nico du Plessis is still the executive member of the Grinmark group. Grinmark has since grown into a family business with more than a century in experience and knowledge within the family and office. Since its inception Grinmark has had various major successes from the marketing of townhouse developments like Chardonnay, Constantia Place, Nerina Mews, Rozanne Close, Stanford Gardens, Sandpipers Nest, Villa Balero and Cluster development and single residential developments in Glen Marais extensions 17, 23, 34, 43 and 50 as well as Pomona ext 3, 21, 88. These include developments like, Tuscan Place, East Side Manor, Algarve Village, Sunbird Close, Santorini, Graceland Estates and Villa Baroque. Several economical developments in Tembisa and Nokem Park X4 have also been completed successfully. Grinmark Rea ltors are also famous for plot-and-plan building packages for first time buyers and executives alike! The main drive of our business remains our very active role in the existing residential market, for which we received the ABSA Bank first prize from RNS for the highest amount of home loans in Kempton Park for the year 2000, with residential sales well in excess of R25,000,000. Grinmark, for the past five years have ranked top 5 in Kempton Park and Top 10 overall for performance and support in the RNS Group. Nico du Plessis has been selling property since 1976, starting off in a family business, Sanrio Estates (PTY) Ltd, moving to Schachat Cullum Homebuilders in 1984 and to the Grinaker group as sales director in 1988. While working for Schachat Cullum, Nico du Plessis sold in excess of 200 properties in two years and was awarded the status of Master Consultant in 1988 . Nico du Plessis has personally sold more than 1000 properties in Kempton Park since 1976.
