Our first sunrise session was an absolute showstopper. The most incredible sunrise view and the perfect way to start a Monday. No Monday blues here!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this morning, and a special thanks to CJ from DVH KZN for hosting us so beautifully. From the early start to the cold water and coffee afterwards, everything was appreciated.

Against the backdrop of continued geopolitical tensions, South Africaโ€™s latest interest rate increase points to a more cautious outlook for the local property market.

The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has increased interest rates, bringing the repo rate to 7% and the prime lending rate to 10.5%. This move forms part of the South African Reserve Bankโ€™s (SARB) continued efforts to manage inflation amid rising commodity prices and global uncertainty.

According to Adrian Goslett, although the increase may place added strain on household finances in the short term, the property market has historically remained resilient through changing interest rate cycles.

Higher interest rates are expected to impact buyer affordability and may encourage more cautious decision-making. However, long-term demand for property remains steady, with many South Africans still viewing real estate as a stable investment.

While increased borrowing costs could lead some buyers to delay purchases or reconsider budgets, opportunities still exist for financially prepared buyers who take a long-term approach.
