Bridford Farm Accommodation Large, family farmhouse, nestled in the picturesque Balgowan Valley. Ideally located on the Midlands Meander in KwaZulu-Natal. Room 1 has Queen size bed.

Sleeps 16+ over 9 rooms / Spacious indoor areas with fireplaces / Outdoor activities, fire pit and gas braai SLEEPS UP TO 16
2 x En-suite rooms, 1 King (Master) and 1 Queen
1 x room with 2 Single beds (bathroom with shower and bath across the hall)
1 x room with Queen bed and small bed for toddler (bathroom with shower and bath across the hall)
Courtyard room has 2 bedrooms, one with en-suite bathroom. Room 2 has Queen bed, Single bed, and wooden cot. This room is also closest to the ‘playroom’ so perfect for those with smaller kids. Downstairs cottage has 2 bedrooms, both with Queen beds, shared bathroom with shower, and kitchenette. Spectacular views of the Balgowan valley from endless lawns. The large verandah, enclosed with glass sliding panels, also has a fireplace for cold days, and provides for both dining and comfortable seating. Over the hill from Michealhouse School, the farm is on the same road as the goat farm, Swissland Cheese. A perfect base for weekends spent meandering, attending weddings or sport events, the farm also has a dam stocked with bass for catch and release, and a walking trail. All suitable for the entire family to enjoy. The road has been affected by the heavy rains so regrettably we have to advise that the farm is currently only accessible with a 4x4 vehicle. WiFi available on request. Regular patrols and armed response provided by Ballid Security. PRICING
R 3000.00 per night for up to 6 pax
R 400.00 per night per person over 6

BOOKINGS
We require a 50% deposit to secure any booking at the farm. Full payment is required 7 (seven) days prior to your arrival. Cleaning services are provided as part of your standard booking. We appreciate any tips given to staff on your departure. Cooking services are available but we ask that you please inform staff of meals to be prepared well in advance. You will have to provide staff with the ingredients, and additional charges will apply. Cancellations not made within 7 days of the arrival date will result in forfeiture of the 50% deposit. RIGHT OF ADMISSION RESERVED
At all times, we, Bridford Family Farm, reserve the full right of admission and accept no liability for any loss or damage that may result from the legal and reasonable exercising of such rights. Should we at any time need to exercise this right, no reimbursements or refunds will be made in this regard.

Whether our little guests are scraping knees climbing trees or getting small cuts while exploring the hills, our absolute go-to remedy is a local favourite from right down the road: the Tea Tree Foam Bath from Flowers and Leaves at Piggly Wiggly!

Sleeping over 16 people here at Bridford Farm, we host so many wonderful families with young children. Because we love it so much, we always place a complimentary bottle in the bathroom for our guests to use during their stay.🧼✨

It’s a brilliant, gentle antiseptic, and it smells absolutely amazing like fresh local naartjies!🍊No stinging, no fuss—just soothing, citrus-scented bubbles that clean up those farm cuts while the kids settle down for bedtime after a big day of country fun.

🛒Top tip for your stay: If you want an all-natural, fuss-free way to keep the kids germ-free and clean after a day of play, make sure to pop into the gorgeous Flowers and Leaves shop at Piggly Wiggly during your Midlands itinerary to grab a bottle of your own to take home!

And we are debating- busy village vibe, or total farm privacy?

When you head to the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands for a reset, do you prefer being close to the bustling village centers, or do you crave a place where you won’t see another soul?

We are currently putting the finishing touches on our downstairs cottage at Bridford Farm, and we have designed it specifically for those who love the quiet side of the countryside.

A Space All To Yourselves
We wanted to create a true hidden gem for couples or smaller groups of four. It is completely standalone and separate from the main house.

To guarantee total peace, we never rent to separate groups at the same time. When you are here, the cottage, the stunning dam views, and the water access belong entirely to you. No crowded estates, no shared walls with strangers—just open space.

What is New Downstairs:

Fully Equipped Kitchenette: bar fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, and wash up basin.
Outside Living: A Weber Braai and outdoor seating for 4 to enjoy the crisp country air.

If you are the type of traveler who wants to skip the busy hotels and have an entire farm view to yourself, this layout was made for you.
