Did you know that 58% of students don’t know about NWU mental health services, and 85% don’t know who to contact when they need support, based on a survey of 26 students from different off-campus accommodations, conducted by Maneer Mdluli (SAFMH Youth Advocacy and Advisory Forum Member).

Angel Mdluli believes that "Mental health support should be accessible to everyone—whether you live on or off campus. It’s time to change this."

The House committee stands together in solidarity for Cwecwe, a brave 7-year-old girl who has suffered unimaginable harm. She spoke out against the violence she faced at her school in Matatiele, yet no action has been taken to protect her or bring her perpetrator to justice.

Mind Matters: A Successful Mental Health Awareness Campaign! 💙

This campaign, led by our committee member Angel Mdluli, was inspired by his role in the SAFMH Youth Advisory and Advocacy Forum to break stigma, promote self-care, and encourage open conversations about mental health.
