Thayer was returned due to no fault of his own, sadly his family had to emigrate ans could not take him with them due to housing obstacles. 🙏

This boy needs a forever home. 💙
He is approx 18 months old and is the friendliest, most well socialised boy. He is amazing with people and adore other dogs. He would be amazing with a canine sibling to play and run with. He is house trained and great off lead on walks and beach adventures. Thayer is a huge snuggler and is going to keep someone special nice and warm this winter if given the opportunity 🙏
Thayer is a mix Collie boy and between medium and large in size

Picture perfect Patsy has waited far too long at the shelter. She came into DARG emaciated and is now just over 10 years old. This loving pooch has such a precious nature and is the ideal companion for a retired person as she's calm, doting and super loyal. Patsy's also a very clever girl and has done so well on The Underdog Project learning how to give her paw, roll over, etc. She'd like to be the queen of her castle so is best suited as an only pet but is wonderful with children. Our senior girl enjoys her strolls and is the ideal car companion. Please share her pic as winter is here and a shelter is no place for a senior dog. 😢 If you can foster Patsy, DARG cover all vet and food costs.

DARG has the most beautiful dogs! Just look at Skye and Captain on a beach adventure! These two stunning young dogs are ready to steal your heart. Both are great with other dogs and with children. ♥🐾🐾♥🐾🐾

'I have waited so long for my home and today a retired couple were supposed to come and see me because they said they wanted to take me home. I am so sad as they emailed yesterday afternoon to say they are adopting another boy. I really thought they were going to be my new mum and dad. 😢 I am almost 8 years old and have been at DARG since I was a puppy. All I need is a garden where I can play with my toys and maybe even have my own little digging patch and my small paddle pool which is tons of fun. I will love my new mum or dad so much as all my humans say I am such a loveable teddy bear. I would also be happy with another dog I can hang out with. My name is Toby - and I want to tell you a little about myself.

I don't want to talk much about my first few months of life as I was chained up and became a little scared. The kids were always teasing me, I ended up not trusting anyone and had to be carried away with a blanket over my head.....good times...

I was put in a cage and someone gave me water, I drank two bowls before I even looked at food.

Then a blanket over my head again and we went to Orphan House which made me scared at first, but it did not take me long to discover friends, food, water, love, laps, beds, couches, walks, cuddles, belly kisses and swimming (I'm pretty good I hear)

I finally got to be a puppy, and I'm loving it! I'm around 7 months old now, but that's still puppy right?

I was asked what my perfect home would be, and that is easy!
1. Adventure - I love walks, have tons of energy and really enjoy being a puppapotamus in the dam
2. Friends - Playing is one of my favourite activities, toys, ropes, balls, whatever, let's play!
3. Laps - I do enjoy a fair amount of lap sitting combined with belly tickles.
4. Love - I never had it and now it's all I want
5. Commitment - I really want to feel safe, I am still not sure who the bad people are, but it takes me less than a minute to figure out.
I could go on but you catch my drift, I just want to be part of a family and be included in their human adventures.

Please no negative comments, but this is the last call for Bullet. We tried him in a trusted foster home but he did not get on with the female dog resident.
With our only spot now taken up by Haley, at the vet, Bullet has nowhere to go.

As you can see he is super lovable, loves people and kids and was fine with non overbearing female dogs.
Cats unknown.

He is just over 2 years old, and the first part of his life was on a short chain. Then he thought he found his forever people but they decided to leave him behind when they relocated.

We cannot keep passing him from one home to the other, if we cannot find a stable foster home for him for at least a month, then we have done all that we can.

We have really been put in a sad situation, as Bullet is the 3rd dog whose family dumped him in December.

Our volunteers (and their parents) homes are full, so we are asking for a last time if someone has space for him, as an only dog for now, or smaller friendly female.

No "pack" will be considered
We will not put your cats at risk, so no cats.
He is also not going into a kennel.
