Property Point is dedicated to unlocking opportunities for SMEs operating in South Africa’s property sector. Established in 2008, Property Point has been a proud catalyst for successful enterprise development. Our carefully developed two-year programme provides entrepreneurs with the skills, training and personal development support they need to develop their enterprises into fully independent companies.

Round 4 of the Social Employment Fund (SEF) programme has come to an end. After 10 months, Property Point has been able to create meaningful work opportunities across Gauteng, Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga.

Through 144 host sites, the programme cumulatively reached 7,148 participants, with a total salary investment of R19.46 million.

We celebrate every participant and sincerely thank the host organisations and partners who helped make this milestone possible. The round may be closed, but the impact continues.

Last week, we celebrated the graduation of 10 SMEs from the Growthpoint Properties Western Cape Enterprise Development Programme, marking a powerful milestone in their entrepreneurial journeys.

Behind every growing business is an opportunity, a network of support and a belief in what is possible. These 10 businesses are now equipped to create their own ripples through new opportunities, jobs, partnerships and meaningful impact within their communities.

A special thank you to Growthpoint Properties for championing enterprise development and investing in the growth and sustainability of SMEs. Your commitment continues to create opportunities that extend far beyond the programme itself.

Property Point was on the ground in Krugersdorp, Gauteng, for a Social Employment Fund (SEF) Programme site visit at the N14 Highway, where participants are gaining hands-on experience in road maintenance and repair alongside our host partner, Onke Impriem.

During the site visit, the Property Point team got a firsthand look at the work being carried out, from removing old asphalt and damaged tar to preparing road surfaces and supporting various construction activities.

The visit highlighted how the SEF Programme is creating meaningful employment opportunities while equipping participants with practical, transferable skills and contributing to infrastructure improvements within the community.

Property Point is on the ground at Curamus School for Autism in Krugersdorp, Gauteng, engaging with participants on the Social Employment Fund programme and our host partner, Onke Impriem, while assessing the construction work taking place.

The site visit provided an opportunity to engage directly with participants, see the work being implemented firsthand and highlight the practical skills and experience being gained through the programme. It also strengthened our engagement with Onke Impriem and provided valuable insight into the impact of the work within the community.

Through SEF, Property Point continues to facilitate opportunities that build skills, create meaningful work experience and contribute to sustainable community development.

We are proud to share that the Real Estate Incubator Programme has now placed 550 candidates into the real estate sector.

Even more encouraging is that 319 of these placements are women, meaning 58% of all candidates placed through the programme have been female.

Every placement represents a young woman who has been given an opportunity to gain experience, demonstrate her abilities, and build a future in the real estate industry.

While there is still much work to be done, milestones like this remind us that meaningful transformation is possible when businesses intentionally create opportunities and invest in talent.

We are immensely grateful to the Industrial Development Corporation , the Presidential Youth Employment Intervention and E Squared Investments, for their unwavering belief in inclusive growth and their investment in creating lasting impact and transforming the lives of emerging real estate practitioners.

Moline Reitumetse from Brickvale ext 22 is building a brighter future through the Social Employment Fund (SEF) Programme, implemented by Property Point, while working with host partner TD Construction.

The programme has provided Moline with the opportunity to gain practical work experience, develop valuable skills in the construction sector and earn an income. Through hands-on learning, Moline is building the confidence and experience needed to pursue a long-term career in the industry.

Looking ahead, Moline is committed to growing within the construction sector and creating a better future through the skills gained on the programme.

At 21 years old, Oratile Olifant from Brickvale Ext 22, working under host partner Sihlobo Construction, is building a brighter future through the Social Employment Fund (SEF) Programme, implemented by Property Point.

After hearing about the opportunity from a friend, Oratile applied and was selected for the programme. As one of only two income earners in a household of seven, the programme has enabled Oratile to support the family while gaining practical skills in tiling, plumbing and painting.

The experience has inspired Oratile to pursue a career in construction, with the long-term goal of starting a construction business and creating opportunities for others.

“The SEF Programme, has given me more than a job it has given me skills, confidence and hope for the future. My dream is to one day start my own construction business.”

Last night, we proudly celebrated the graduation of the sixth cohort of the Makers Landing Food Incubator Programme at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

The graduation marks the culmination of a transformative journey for food entrepreneurs who have strengthened their businesses through mentorship, skills development and enterprise support. As they take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey, they do so with the knowledge, confidence and networks to grow sustainable businesses.
