Building competitive SMMEs means preparing them for the future of business. At the Green Building Convention 2026, Property Point championed the role of innovation in enterprise development through a workshop led by Bradley Kodi and Raymond Crown, titled AI-Powered SMMEs: Building Smarter, Greener and More Competitive Businesses.

The session explored how artificial intelligence can help SMMEs strengthen operations, improve efficiency and enhance their competitiveness in an increasingly technology-driven built environment.

As the sector evolves, equipping SMMEs with the knowledge and tools to adapt, innovate and respond to emerging market demands is critical to unlocking sustainable business growth.

At the Green Building Convention 2026, Property Point brought the SMME Village to life, providing 13 SMMEs with a platform to showcase their solutions, engage with industry stakeholders and explore opportunities across the sector.

For five consecutive years, Property Point has facilitated the SMME Village, connecting entrepreneurs with the built environment ecosystem and creating opportunities to strengthen industry relationships, increase business visibility and unlock pathways for growth.

At Property Point, creating access is just the beginning. We focus on positioning SMMEs to participate meaningfully, build industry connections and unlock opportunities for growth.

On 26 October 2026, Growthpoint Properties and Property Point celebrated 27 businesses graduating from three Gauteng programmes: the Growthpoint Properties Gauteng Enterprise and Supplier Development Programme, the Greenpreneur Programme, and the Growthpoint Properties Women-owned Enterprise Development Programme.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Growthpoint Properties for its continued partnership, trust and investment in enterprise development. Yesterday, we celebrated the conclusion of the 2026 Green Seeds Competition in Waterfall City, bringing a year-long journey of innovation, entrepreneurship and business development to a close.

Congratulations to LEEP Solutions (Pty) Ltd, who took first place and walked away with R100,000, followed by House Harvest in second place, awarded R50,000. GreenX, our third place finalist, has also been presented with an opportunity to explore future collaboration with Attacq Limited.

Thank you to Attacq Limited for championing a platform that creates opportunities for entrepreneurs to develop, showcase and advance innovative solutions.
