We're here with you every step of the way. At Magna-Thomson International Movers we ease the difficulties and stress of an international move. While you may only move internationally once or twice in your life, this is our core business: we will guide and advise you throughout the total migration experience, not just the moving component. Magna International Movers was established in 1990 by Dave Buchanan and John Giles, and Thomson International Movers was established in 1987 by Robin and Trevor Thomson. With decades’ experience in the removals service industry, both companies were established exclusively in domestic and overseas moving, storage and fine art packing. In 2008 they combined their many years of expertise and knowledge, merging to form Magna-Thomson International Movers (Pty) Ltd. Today Magna-Thomson in South Africa has offices based in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town and a sales office in Pietermaritzburg. We can collect and pack from anywhere in South Africa and have shipped many hundreds of families’ household goods all over the world.

In this video, our experienced team members Athier and Keegan demonstrate how we protect a single-seater couch using Aerothene wrapping, followed by a layer of protective cardboard to help prevent scratches, scuffs and damage during the move.

Watch as Athier carefully measures and cuts the Aerothene and cardboard to size before securely taping everything into place. Every step is handled with care and attention to detail.
