The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for a cut-off low-pressure system expected to move into the Western Cape from late Wednesday evening, with conditions continuing to affect areas including the Swartland Municipality on Thursday and Friday, 3–4 September.
Residents can expect cold temperatures, rainfall and strong winds. Please take the necessary precautions to keep yourself, your family and your property safe. ❤️

- Secure loose outdoor items such as furniture, bins, trampolines and garden equipment.
- Clear leaves and debris from gutters and stormwater drains.
- Ensure windows, doors and gates are properly closed and secured.
- Avoid parking vehicles underneath large trees or unstable structures.
- Exercise caution when travelling on wet roads and allow extra time for your journey.
- Never attempt to drive, walk or cycle through flooded roads or flowing water.
- Keep children and pets away from rivers, streams and stormwater channels.
- Be prepared for possible fallen trees, power interruptions and localised flooding.
