The South African Weather Service has issued a Level 2 warning for damaging waves affecting areas including Mossel Bay, George, Knysna, and surrounding coastal regions from:
📅 Wednesday, 3 June to Thursday, 4 June

🌊 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁:
•Very rough sea conditions (waves up to 4–6 metres)
•Strong winds (50–60 km/h)
•Dangerous conditions for small boats and water users
•Risk of people being swept off rocks and coastal areas

Notice is hereby given in terms of the Mossel Bay Municipality Seashore and Sea By-Law that due to hazardous conditions prevalent on the specified beach area which set in as a result of the recent weather event experienced in the Garden Route District, that the beach area will be closed with immediate effect until further notice and repairs are undertaken. 𝐒𝐞𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐝 - 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐰𝐞𝐞 𝐊𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧.
