With SANParks allowing local fee access - this might be something you're keen to do with local Christo Groenewald

It is Sanparks free week.
The Alexandria forest is free until the weekend.

I will lead a free bird walk if somebody wants to go.

My plan is to go before dawn to target 4 owl species.

Then breakfast braai at the reception.
Then we look for the forest specials, with particular emphasis on finding Narina Trogon.

When we come back around 11h00 we can go to Boknes Lagoon and Ottersvlei if people are still up for it.

Target is around 130 species for the morning.

I want to be home for lunch.
