The headline of an article that was published this week on Netwerk24 reads:

Fire at Paarl Hospital: Repairs Completed 6 Months Early

Earlier this year, a fire devastated the hospital's outpatient department, cutting off thousands of people from essential care.

What followed was a recovery that should set the standard for how public infrastructure projects get done in this country.

Exceptional provincial leadership, tight project coordination, and frontline healthcare workers who kept showing up - that combination is commendable.

MEC Mireille Wenger said it best: "This work has always been about more than just restoring a building. It is about restoring access to care and supporting the health and dignity of every person who depends on Paarl Hospital."

The entire Giflo team extends its warmest congratulations to the management, healthcare workers, infrastructure teams, and contractors who made this happen.

As a property developer rooted in Paarl, and currently building the Life Paarl Valley Hospital right here, we understand better than most what it means to get healthcare infrastructure right.
