The lockdown can be very frustrating, but on the bright side there are many opportunities to utilize this time productively: Now is the time to do those things that we normally don't have time for because of other priorities. It is a time to strengthen family relationships. The best or the worst of one can so often be seen in the close confines of your home, especially under stressful situations. So this a good time to cultivate a new mindset and attitude towards each other. To have more patience with each other and to show respect, understanding, love and compassion. A great time to build great relationships!
During the morning exercise window, I see families exercising together, something which was very rare during the pre-lockdown period. I hear of people and organisations reaching out to the destitute and the hungry. I hear of people coming up with innovative ways of doing business. I see people giving of themselves by equipping others via internet platforms. I hear how people are getting themselves ready to do business again after the lockdown, by being pro-active. There is a new appreciation of the freedom that we have taken for granted. A longing for the companionship with our family and friends.
So how do we approach this thing, how do we respond? We need to keep positive. Do not let fear become the crippeling and conquering thing in your life. Have faith in God! Do not believe everything that you receive or hear on social media. God gave you common sense, use it. This thing will pass!
Therefore, let us plan as if we will live forever, but live our lives as if tomorrow is the last!
