This morning, on my way to one of my latest listings, I drove down Rietbuck Road and was reminded once again why I love listing and selling property in Howick.

There, in the middle of the road, was the "Chain Gang" hard at work repairing potholes. Neighbours, friends, and even the odd gardener had come together to improve their community. Many of them are in their senior years, yet there they were on their hands and knees, filling, levelling, and restoring the road for the benefit of everyone who uses it.

In a world where it's easy to wait for someone else to fix a problem, these residents chose to roll up their sleeves and make a difference themselves.

A huge kudos to each and every one of you. Your community spirit, determination, and pride in your neighbourhood are truly inspiring. This is the heart of Howick – people caring for people and working together to make where they live a better place.
