Art for education. 🎨🌿

As part of the newly reinstated Plett ARTS Festival, Raphaeli Waldorf School will be hosting an Art Auction Fundraiser on the 25th of September, following our Seven Lively Arts Festival.

We’re looking for local artists who would be willing to donate a piece of their work to the auction; in return, they would retain 50% of the sale price, and 50% would go directly to the Olive Tree Bursary Fund, helping all children get the level of education they deserve. The event is being generously hosted by Helen Melon Properties, with all proceeds going to Raphaeli’s Olive Tree Fund.

The Olive Tree Fund helps provide bursary and financial support to families in our community, helping children experience an education that nurtures creativity, curiosity and a love of learning.

So we’re asking our local artists: would you consider donating a piece of your art?

Your work could help make a quality education possible for a child.

Children are very welcome. Under 10s can join free and share a drum with a parent or sibling. If they’d like their own drum it will be R150.

There is something new to learn every time we step outside the door. 🌿🐛

Today it was these beautiful Barred Eggarlet caterpillars, gathered together on one of our indigenous shrubs. Soon, they’ll transform into delicate little moths.

The more time I spend here, the more amazed I am by the extraordinary diversity of life around us.

The Garden Route really is exquisite. 💚
