The last of the whales are still passing through the bay right now, and the town hasn't hit its December pace yet either. Mild days, a quieter beach than in a couple of months, and everything still walkable from here.

Being the largest 3D-printed whale tail sculpture in Africa, does it count as decoration or a land mark? 🤔

She looks good in daylight and moonlight and the larger-than-life Waffling Whale Tail has become the unofficial first photo stop: bags still in the car, cameras out and everyone choosing their best pose. 🐋

Whale season in Plett is on its last stretch this October, making this one of the last strong weeks of the year. 🐋

Offshore Adventures run boat trips out to experience them, plus a chance to swim with the seals, five minutes from Formosa. A pretty solid way to close out the school holidays. 🚤

So many kids.. but so much to do 🍨 The trampoline and the jumping pillow both get one more solid workout before the holidays wrap up. No Access Pass needed for either, just the last of the school holidays and kids who aren't quite ready to stop yet. 🪂

“Beautiful and Tranquil. Loved the location as it’s central. Great for families with small kids. Very clean and very green. The self catering houses are spacious and the kitchens had everything you could need. The outside braai area and house was maintained daily by the awesome staff and was such a spoil. It’s good value for money considering the location and the amenities.”
