TESTIMONY 👇🏽
•
I got a bit of a testimony to share with you guys regarding this recent sale I did in Zwide. So I’ll give some context and then get into it like that, but ey, God works in mysterious ways. Back in January, I got a referral to list a property of a person I know in Kwamagxaki. When I heard Kwamagxaki, I was kind of in two minds about it, firstly because I don’t think I’ve ever been in the suburb and secondly, there are agents who specialise in that area who would maybe service my client a lot better than I could, but I started the year off with exactly 0 listings to my name so I thought let me take it on and expand my knowledge around Port Elizabeth. Got the listing, mandate signed, here we go. The property needed a few touch ups so it didn’t sell easy, but with numerous trips to the property we finally got a buyer. Here I thought we signed and sealed, but then we started to experience a bit of a hiccup to the point where the buyer pulled out and found another property. I took the property off the market until we sorted everything out, signed a new mandate and super quick we found another buyer. I ran with this buyer for weeks, trying to get a bond sorted and making arrangements to get her this property, after all, we did it. Now, it’s just for owners to accept and it’s a done deal, buuuut the owners got back to me telling me that they have found their own cash buyer and everything is already in motion, so they’re cancelling my mandate. I actually couldn’t do anything about it, because I messed up on my mandate but that’s a story for another day. So here I am, a few months later after spending thousands of rands on the property for marketing and time, just to not sell it after all the work. Gutted! But okay, here we get to the testimony part.. before all this was even happening, I got a call from this guy in the picture, he tells me he sees I’m marketing a property in Kwamagxaki and he would like me to do the same for his property in Zwide. Here I’m thinking no ways, there are other properties being advertised on Property24 in Kwamagxaki or even Kwadwesi, why me out of all the other agents he could’ve picked from? So I go with it, get the address and do what I do best. The owners are happy with my valuation, so we get the mandate signed and start marketing. I think it was just over 3 weeks and we found a buyer for the property. WHAT? In Zwide? Me? I never would’ve thought. But that’s not all, I never met this guy in my life, I don’t know him and he doesn’t know me apart from Property24, over the weekend when doing the key handover we got to know each other and we spoke a bit. He goes on to tell me there were agents trying to get him to cancel the mandate with me so they could bring their buyers and obviously get 100% of the commission, yes you get agents that do this. He stood his ground and was loyal to me without me even knowing.. I was in shock, not really because he was loyal but knowing what I went through to get a client like this, while he was speaking I thought to myself, wow , God really knows what He’s doing. ANOTHER thing, there was another buyer that I took to the Kwamagxaki property that wasn’t interested, but about a month later a property came up in Kwadwesi with another colleague of mine and guess who bought it? My buyer from Kwamagxaki. Here I was gutted from a single portion, but God said here, DOUBLE portion for you.

Points to take away from this:
- If you an estate agent, make sure your mandate is on point. Lol
- God knows what He’s doing.
- Keep the Faith and pray.
