Wishing all a very happy and more prosperous year for 2021!!!

It is indeed refreshing to encounter any GOOD news these days, so the article below did lift my spirits.

For years I have maintained that it is merely a question of time before Port Elizabeth booms. We saw it start with Cape Town, under DA leadership over 20 years ago and the development and growth has steadily moved eastward toward the Garden Route.

Admittedly, the economic 'drivers' of those events may have been slightly different, however the Eastern Cape remains a long overlooked gem in South Africa. Surely this cannot remain so indefinitely.

Port Elizabeth real estate represents extraordinary value relative to pricing in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.

Geographically, demographically and economically speaking, industry will eventually be forced to take note of the obvious benefits that lie in wait within the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropole, regardless of the present state of the local municipality.

If the National Government cannot recognize this, I'm convinced the international community soon will.

Nelson Mandela Bay has outperformed Cape Town since October 2018, which is reflective of the strong growth in this regional market. These are the property hot spots to watch.

The planned Boardwalk re-development will be a step in the correct direction and hopefully a catalyst for further development projects.
