Meet Sandy.

Some stories begin with a plan, ours didn’t.

A few months before Sandy came into our lives, we had said goodbye to our beloved Pit Bull, Nina. Nina had been part of our family for almost ten years after we adopted her and losing her left a space in our home that simply couldn’t be filled overnight.

One afternoon, on my way home, I made a completely unplanned decision. I turned into Animal Welfare Society PE. I wasn’t looking for my next dog. I simply wanted to walk through and spend a little time with the dogs. As I walked past kennel after kennel, they all did what excited dogs naturally do. They barked, they jumped, they all wanted attention. Then I reached Sandy, she didn’t bark, she didn’t jump. She was quietly standing next to the gate and as I walked past, she just leaned over and simply waited for a rub.

That moment stayed with me. I went home and couldn’t stop talking about her. The next day Geraldene, JJ and I went back together. We spent some time with her and later that day after the inspections were done, she came home with us.

Sandy was just two years old. She had previously belonged to a breeder and, after she could no longer have puppies, he was giving her away. Animal Welfare Society stepped in to make sure she had the opportunity to find a loving family instead of ending up in the wrong hands.

Although she’d never really been part of a family before, she adapted almost immediately. Today she’s a gentle 75kg+ Boerboel who thinks she’s a lap dog and snores louder than any dog (or person!) I’ve ever met. Because she was too big for anything we could find in the shops… We had to have a custom bed made just for her.

But behind all those funny moments is something much more important. Sandy reminded me that every animal deserves a second chance, not because they’re perfect… but because they’re worthy of being loved.

A big thank you to every animal welfare organisation, rescue organisation, foster family and volunteer who dedicate their time to changing the lives of animals every single day. Special thank you to Kathryn and the rest of the team at Animal Welfare PE for giving Sandy her second chance.

The work you do doesn’t only change the lives of animals, it changes the lives of families like ours too.

If you’ve adopted a rescue pet, I’d genuinely love to meet them. Please share a photo and tell me their story in the comments.

If you are looking to add a new furry member to your family, I hope you find encouragement in Sandy’s story and choose to adopt instead of shop… There are so many animals in need of a loving home.

A house is made of bricks and mortar… a home is made of dreams, memories, and the people you share it with.

One of the greatest privileges of my job isn’t negotiating offers or handing over keys.

It’s seeing the excitement on someone’s face when they realise they’ve found the place they’ll call home.

Buying a property can feel overwhelming. There are decisions to make, paperwork to complete, finances to organise, and plenty of questions along the way.

That’s why I believe my role is about much more than simply opening doors.

It’s about listening.

It’s about guiding.

It’s about keeping people informed, reducing the stress, and helping them make confident decisions.

A heartfelt thank you to Tracey Botha for these beautiful words and for allowing me to be part of such a special milestone.

Congratulations again on your dream home! 🏡❤️

If you’re thinking about buying your first home—or your forever home—I’d love to help you on that journey.

Every successful property journey starts with a plan.

Buying or selling a home isn’t just another transaction.

It’s moving closer to your dream home.
It’s creating space for a growing family.
It’s downsizing for a simpler lifestyle.
It’s unlocking equity for your next chapter.

Every client has a different goal, which is why there is no one-size-fits-all strategy.

My job is to understand what you’re trying to achieve first, then build a plan around your goals—not mine.

That means honest advice, local market knowledge, clear communication, and a marketing strategy designed specifically for your property.

Because the best results don’t happen by chance…

They happen through preparation, strategy, and ex*****on.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling in Gqeberha, I’d love to help you achieve your property goals.

🏡 What buyers look for today isn’t what they looked for a few years ago.

Remember when a swimming pool or a beautiful kitchen topped everyone’s wish list?

Those things still matter…

But after years of load shedding, buyers have started asking a different question before almost anything else:

“Does the property have an inverter?”

It’s a reminder that property values aren’t driven by bricks and mortar alone—they’re shaped by the way we live.

Features like backup power, good security, reliable water storage, fibre connectivity, and energy efficiency have become far more than “nice-to-haves.” For many buyers, they’re now essential.

If you’re thinking about selling, understanding what today’s buyers truly value can make a significant difference to how your property is presented and marketed.

And yes… if you’re busy house hunting, a good cup of coffee while Eskom keeps you guessing probably helps too. ☕😉

Thinking about buying or selling? I’d love to help you navigate today’s market.

🏡 Sometimes, selling your home isn’t about finding a buyer… it’s about finding the right strategy.

One of the most common conversations I have with homeowners is after they’ve already spent months on the market.

They’ve had viewings.
They’ve had interest.
Sometimes they’ve even had offers.

But for one reason or another, the property never sold.

When that happens, it’s easy to assume there’s no demand.

More often than not, the real issue lies elsewhere—pricing, presentation, marketing, buyer qualification, or simply having a strategy that doesn’t align with today’s market.

That’s why every property I list starts with a conversation, not a promise.

A sincere thank you to Ann Zeelie for placing her trust in me and for sharing this wonderful review after we successfully sold her home.

If your property has been on the market before, or you’re considering selling for the first time, I’d be happy to chat about a strategy that gives you the best possible chance of success.

🌊 The Windy City isn’t just where I work—it’s home.

Anyone can search property prices online.

Anyone can tell you how many bedrooms a house has.

But understanding a neighbourhood is about so much more than statistics.

It’s knowing which streets families love, where the afternoon traffic builds up, which schools buyers ask about most, how the prevailing wind affects different suburbs, and what buyers are really looking for when they choose one area over another.

That’s the difference local knowledge makes.

Whether you’re buying your first home, upgrading, downsizing, or preparing to sell, having someone who genuinely understands the local market can make all the difference.

I’m proud to call Gqeberha home, and even prouder to help people make some of life’s biggest decisions right here in the Windy City.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling, let’s have a no-obligation chat.

🏡 Success doesn’t start when the property goes on the market. It starts long before that.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing a well-thought-out strategy come together.

From our very first meeting, my goal is to ensure my clients understand every step of the selling process. That means honest advice, realistic pricing, clear communication, and making sure there are no surprises along the way.

When those pieces come together, great results often follow.

A huge thank you to Cindy-Sue McWilliams for trusting me with the sale of her home and for these incredibly kind words.

Selling her property in just 7 days wasn’t luck—it was the result of preparation, teamwork, and a strategy designed to attract the right buyers from day one.

If you’re thinking about selling and would like to know what your property is worth in today’s market, I’d love to help.
