If you’re struggling to decorate your small home office, fear not – we’ve got you covered with these tips and tricks.

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐥-𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫
Embrace the vertical dimension by installing wall-mounted shelves and storage units. This frees up valuable floor space.

𝐅𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐥-𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞
Consider a fold-out desk that can be neatly tucked away when not in use or opt for a stylish storage ottoman that moonlights as both a seating option and a discreet filing cabinet.

𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐤𝐞𝐲
Opt for strategic placement of task lighting to illuminate your work area without cluttering the space.

𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭
Invest in cable organisers or clips to keep cords under control.

𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
Use furniture with slender legs to create a sense of openness. This will make your office appear more spacious and inviting.

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲
Personalising your space adds character and boosts your motivation and productivity. Frame inspiring quotes, display cherished photos, or bring in small plants for a touch of greenery.

If there’s something TikTok loves, it’s cleaning and organising. Here are the most popular methods on TikTok right now.

𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝
The gist of the KonMari method is to organise your home by category instead of location. The first category is clothing, followed by books, papers, miscellaneous items and sentimental items.

When you hold an item in your hands, it should spark joy within you. If it doesn’t, Kondo recommends thanking the item for its use before throwing it away or donating it. When finished, your home will be organised and filled only with things important to you.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐧𝐞-𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝
The task is simple: clean and organise your space for one hour a day, no more. The one-hour cleaning method continues each day until your space is completely organised.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 '𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝟒' 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝
• Clear out: remove everything from the room you’re cleaning so you’re able to start with a blank slate.
• Categorise: go through everything and organise it into groups.
• Cut out: determine what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.
• Contain: organise what you’ve decided to keep into containers and spaces.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞-𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐝
With this method, you act as if you’re moving out (even to the point of setting a move-out date, which is the day you want your space to be clean by). Then, you clear absolutely everything out of your home and sort it as if you’re getting ready to box it up. As you remove items, ask yourself if you want to 'bring' the item with you into your 'new' home - is it worth keeping or is it time to give it away?

From instant updates to more elaborate makeovers, we’ve compiled a list of ideas, improvements and fixes to help you liven up your living space.

Nothing breathes fresh air into a room like potted plants or fresh flowers. Take a trip to the flower shop for a sweet centrepiece, or 'shop' in your own garden for a natural seasonal arrangement.

𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐮𝐧
A piece of fabric, a small trinket or a treasured memento can become wall art. Simply remove the glass from a picture frame, mount the object on a board and hang it on the wall.

𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐚 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲
Find photos you love, convert them to black and white, and hang them on your wall for an elevated, art gallery look.

𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦
Bold new towels are a quick and easy way to bring a bathroom to life.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥
While some people find accent walls overbearing, others find they’re the perfect way to make a room pop and create a fresh, new look.

𝐀𝐝𝐝 𝐚 𝐫𝐮𝐠
If new carpeting or hardwood floors are too pricy, add a vibrant new area rug instead and breathe new life into your living room.

𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐛𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬
Updating k***s, door pulls and handles will give your existing furniture a whole new look.

Here are bedroom design mistakes you don’t realise you’re making, along with some easy fixes for your most beautiful and relaxing space yet.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫
It costs nothing to fix this design mistake. Get your bed away from the wall. Placing your bed in a corner throws off the entire flow of the room. The bed should ideally be in the centre of the far wall so you can see the headboard when you walk in.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭
Go with something about the same height as your bed so that you're not reaching up or down in the middle of the night to grab your phone or a glass of water.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
Mix it up. Use lamps on nightstands and sconces on the walls, along with built-in lights.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐢𝐭
If you've got the space, add a bench or even two footstools at the bottom of your bed. It not only gives you a place to sit when you put your shoes on, but also gives a nice transition from the bed area to the rest of the room.
