Welcome to Farm Klein Rivier Portion 2, Kouga Wildernis, Joubertina!
Nestled in the Kouga mountains about 28km north of the town Joubertina on the R62.
As you turn off from Joubertina onto the wide gravel roads and begin your approach to the farm Klein Rivier, you have a sense that you are leaving the world behind. The private roads approaching the farm wrap snugly around the mountains, with each turn of the track showing off yet another majestic view of the land, skies and glorious habitat.
You pass the last farm turnoffs as you enter the part which leads only to the two Klein Rivier farm portions tucked in the mountains of the broader Baviaanskloof Mega Reserve and directly bordering the Baviaanskloof World Heritage Site protected area.
A place where you can sleep with your doors unlocked, enjoy the sounds of the running river and live in peace and tranquility at harmony with nature in what can only be called a slice of heaven.
I fell in love the second we rounded the last curve and saw the valley spreading her gorgeous green blanket beneath us.
