We just want to thank each one of you who came to the first annual Wheelbarrow Grand Prix Community Festival yesterday. We enjoyed the day with you and appreciate everyone's enthusiasm and support. It was a great success. We will be sharing photos and videos soon.

One day to go! More than 18 teams to take each other on to be crowned as champion of the 1st Wheelbarrow Grand Prix.

NB! Entrance to the event is free!

Lots of fun and games for the whole family sponsored by BOOMER EVENTS! Great variety of stalls!

What to bring? Chairs, picnic table, hat, AND SOMETHING TO PUT IN THE GOLDEN BARROW AS PRIZE FOR THE WINNING TEAM e.g. bottle of wine, beer, cold drinks, biltong, chocolates etc.

Where? In the park in Visarend Street, Monument Park.

1. The race starts at 09h00 sharp in the middle of the park and finishes again in the middle of the park!
2. Teams must register themselves from 07h30 to 08h30 at the ticket stall. No registration after 08h30.
3. Teams must position themselves at the pitstops before 09h00.
4. Remember to pay R50 per participant.
5. Drivers must wear a helmet.
6. First team to cross the finish line wins.

NB INFORMATION:

1. ENTRANCE IS FOR FREE!!!

2. EPIC WHEELBARROW RACE AT 9h00!!! TEAMS MUST REGISTER FROM 7H30 TO 8H30. SPECTATORS ARE ADVISED TO ARRIVE FROM 8H15 IF YOU WANT A GOOD SPOT AT THE START AND FINISH LINE. Come and see how +-18 teams take each other on in our first annual Wheelbarrow Grand Prix! The race starts at 9h00 sharp in the middle of the park in Visarend Street.

3. LOTS OF FOOD! There are many food stalls: boereworsrolls, jaffles, pancakes, coffee, stir fry, strawberries, cookies, cupcakes, cold drinks, non-alcoholic beer etc.

4. GREAT VARIETY OF STALLS! There are many other stalls: Educational toys, pet food and treats, honey, mocktails, school shoes, handmade clothes, jewelry, soft toys, 3D printing, braai wood, boerewors, mince, cycas seedlings, candles and art, cotton bags, branded caps, vellies, babyshoes, eggs, jams, jellies, educational books and tools etc.

5. THERE WILL BE LOTS OF FUN AND GAMES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY! Children can also bring their own bicycles to ride in the park.

6. THERE WILL BE A FOOD TENT WITH TABLES AND CHAIRS! There will be +- 60 seats in the food tent. Please also bring your own chairs, picnic tables and gazebos along to make your own spot in the park.

7. TOILET FACILITIES. The church's toilet facilities will be open and available for use on the day.

8. FRIENDLY DOGS ON LEASHES ARE WELCOME. Please just clean up after your dog.
