Featherwood Frail Care/Assisted Living units are located in the tranquil area of Pretoria East very close to amenities such as Pretoria East Hospital, Woodlands shopping Centre, and a variety of churches of different denominations. The Facility consists of 85 Batchelor units with 24-hour Care available in the building.The unit consists of a bedroom, a kitchenette, private bathroom with its own shower, toilet, and wash basin. Each room is big enough to allow for family members and friends to visit
The frail Care allows for 24-hour nursing care, and medical care, inclusive of 3 meals per day 3 times coffee/tea, daily washing of bedding and clothes, personal client hygiene, medicine management, and daily cleaning of the unit. There is a nursing station on each floor of the complex. Each room is provided with emergency buttons to raise the alarm if needed. There is a medical doctor on-site and on-call on a 24-hour basis.
The Assisted living: The assisted Living units are located within the Frail Care complex allowing clients nursing care and assistance as needed. The services allow for 3 meals per day, and tea/ coffee 3 times per day.
Washing is to be done on a weekly basis, cleaning of the unit is done on a weekly basis, and daily medicine management.
The cost: Frail Care: R26,250.00 per month
Assisted Living: R13,500.00 per month
