The SARB Monetary Policy Committee has unanimously increased the *repo rate by 25 basis points to 7.25%*, effective *25 September 2026*.

🏦 *Repo Rate:* 7.25%
📈 *Prime Lending Rate:* 10.75%
📅 *Effective:* 25 September 2026

The decision comes as the Reserve Bank continues to manage increased inflation risks and work towards bringing inflation back to its *3% target*.
