Mussel soup recipe

My kids know that Hermanus holidays, I will sneak in this soup. Some of their friends used to ask me if they could come back the following morning, for another helping.

Rins your Mussels well but do not let them lie in water
Take half a cup of white wine, cook the mussels for 10 min and keep the lid on.

Separately, make a white sauce.
1 Packet White Onion Soup
1 Packet Mushroom soup
Good blob of salted butter
teaspoon of English Mustard
Salt and little bit of Canyen Pepper. (be careful if you use packets of soup to not add too much additional salt.)
Milk

(Extra flavour - add a few pieces of Haddock fish that was boiled in milk. the smokey flavour is gorgeous)

Melt the butter and add the spices. Slowly stir and let the ingredients mix to form the flavour. Add Desert spoon garlic. Stir gently. Slowly put in little bit of the dry products, then add milk and stir. again add little bit of power products, milk and stir. When it feels like thick porridge when you stir it, add the mussels cooked in wine, all together. Stir slowly just to get it nicle mized. Now pour some cream in. And if you like the Leas family, add more garlic.

Make sure to have a freshly baked bread and a good white wine.
