Sometimes the right space finds the right people.

In this interview, Carla Pinto shares how she and Zydia first heard about Nine Yards and immediately felt drawn to what was being created.

What followed was more than just opening a store. It was becoming part of a larger story, alongside a community of makers, artists, and independent businesses helping shape the future of the precinct.

From the very beginning, the goal was to create a place where people could connect with nature and with the broader community around them.

That same thinking extends beyond the precinct itself. Through initiatives like our Wishing Well supporting the Smile Foundation and our partnership with Woodrock Animal Rescue, we hope to contribute to causes that make a meaningful difference.

Because the spaces that leave a lasting impact are often the ones that give something back.

Coming through? We've made it easy.

Additional parking is available at Lumley House and Rosebank Office Park, both just a short walk from the precinct.

We recommend arriving a little earlier, taking your time, and enjoying the journey in. After all, Nine Yards was designed to be explored at a slower pace.

Park, stroll, and discover what's waiting around the next corner.

A look at where Nine Yards started, and where the journey has taken it.

What was once a collection of separate properties has become a connected precinct. Shaped by gardens, thoughtful design, adaptive re-use, and a vision for bringing people together.

A lot can change without losing what made a place special in the first place.

The Lokal brings a more considered approach to meat. One rooted in quality, community, and the kind of everyday familiarity that keeps people coming back.

It’s a place where the butcher knows their craft, the offering feels carefully chosen, and the experience is about more than simply picking something up for dinner.

From premium cuts to a space that feels warm, personal, and easy to return to, The Lokal adds something grounded and essential to the precinct.

Swipe through to explore who you’ll find in Yard 1.

A place where the everyday feels a little more considered. From fresh produce and seafood to family dining, thoughtful gifting, garden-inspired living, and even something for the dogs.

Each tenant brings something different to the rhythm of Nine Yards, creating a corner of the precinct shaped by flavour, craft, care, and community.

Furniture, shaped around the way you live.

Paul Kurt brings a more personal approach to interiors where every piece begins with your vision, your space, and the details that make a home feel truly yours.

From upholstery and finishes to form, comfort, and craftsmanship, their work is built around choice. Not off-the-shelf. Not one-size-fits-all.

Just considered furniture, made with experience, intention, and a sense of permanence.

Layered histories, brought into the light.

In this interview, we look closer at the work of Lebohang Kganye, whose practice moves between photography, video, mixed media, and sculptural installation.

Her work often brings together research, autobiography, theatre, and poetry, creating pieces that explore memory, identity, and postcolonial histories in deeply layered ways.

Featured at Nine Yards, Prisoner doing the general work is a photo-sculpture installation printed on steel, continuing Kganye’s practice of transforming image, history, and object into something that asks us to look again.

A work that holds presence, story, and light.
