Syringa Sands game farm offers an off the beaten track, remote, and tranquil self catering bushveld getaway in the Waterberg area, located halfway Thabazimbi and Vaalwater in Limpopo, South Africa Furthermore the farm borders the Sandriverberg at one of the highest points allowing for some challenging walks to the top of the mountain. e sure to bring your fishing rods. Game drives in your own vehicle or use of any other motorised form of transport (quads, motor bikes) is unfortunately not allowed, instead game drives are offered on appointment in a 10 seater game viewing vehicle. A drive typically lasts about 1,5 hours and costs R200.- for the vehicle and driver.

“We stayed two nights at Syringa Sands game farm. Immersing ourselves in the bush really is indulgence of a different kind—it's not about luxury in the usual sense, but about surrendering to the rhythm of nature. The quiet, the raw beauty, and the simplicity of being off-grid create a richness that's hard to replicate elsewhere. The Mountain Cottage gave us that rare chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and let the bush itself be the indulgence.
The open outside shower must have made me feel even more connected to the bush, with the sky above and nature all around. And the big geckos in and around the house, those companions, add to the charm of being off-grid. The open outside shower and geckos may not be for everyone, but it's those small, unexpected details that make a stay feel authentic and memorable, almost like the bush itself is welcoming you in. We shall be back very soon!”
