A magnificent 2,700sqm Pick n Pay opens today at Leratong City Mall as one of the anchor tenants. The Pick n Pay team gathered for prayer and a blessing of the new store earlier this morning, as they prepared for its first day of trade.

It’s been a long time coming – nearly 15 years – and our Leratong City Mall team is taking no chances. Here they are on site, waiting for today to dawn, and the doors of this magnificent mall in Kagiso in Gauteng, to open.

A look inside Rondebult Shopping Centre before its doors open to the public for the first time

Inspired by the centre’s vibrant logo, carefully considered touches of colour—from the ceiling light fittings to the cloakrooms—bring warmth, energy and joy to the shared spaces.

We are immensely proud of what has been achieved in partnership with Stonesman Projects, the developer, and Leon Jacobs Architects, whose commitment and creativity have once again helped us deliver an exceptional mall, distinguished by outstanding finishes and delightful, unexpected details.

More than a retail destination, Rondebult Shopping Centre has been created as a happy ‘third place’ for the Rondebult community—a warm, welcoming and exceptionally convenient space for shopping, leisure and connection.

Just after 7am, and the team from Boxer at Rondebult Shopping Centre is heading to work for the first time - in a brand-new store!

It was great to film them—and the Shoprite team at the other end of the mall. These retailers may be competitors, but together they are bringing greater choice, new jobs and opportunities to residents of Rondebult.

And of course, so heartwarming for us at RNS to know that our committed work and long hours spent on massive projects like Rondebult Shopping Centre, bring employment to people and uplift local economies.

Rondebult Shopping Centre opens today 22 October 2026.

Still working. Still smiling. With Rondebult Shopping Centre opening tomorrow, our tenant coordinators are still on site, working alongside the 89 retailers preparing to open their shops and eateries, and lending assistance wherever it is needed.

Thank you Brendan and Marjike for your outstanding work and your commitment to delivering excellence.
