How many times did Jesus say we should forgive? 7 x 70, I think.

Would He expect something from us He would not expect from Himself? Of course not. So will He Forgive time and again? Yes.

Also did He not say "this is how you should pray...forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us"?

Jesus will not have us pray for something (forgiveness) that is impossible to obtain.

Then, He told the parable of the man who went to the temple but did not go in and stood at a distance, who could not look up but beat his chest, and said "have Mercy on me, a sinner". Jesus said that man went home "justified before God"🙌🏿✝️🧎🏽

Read the last 3 words again.

THESE PEOPLE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT JESUS WHEN THEY PROPHESIED THESE THINGS:

When David a 1000 years before Jesus said "...the Lord (God) said to my Lord (Jesus) sit at My right hand..."

When Isaiah 740 years before Jesus said "...like...a lamb before her shearers, He did not open His Mouth..."

When Jeremiah 600 years before Jesus "...I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel..."

When Daniel 540 years before Jesus said "...Appointed One will be put to death...He Will confirm a Covenant with many....He Will put an end to sacrifice and offering....until the end that is decreed is poured out of Him."

When Zachariah said 500 years before Jesus "...behold your King comes to you! He is Righteous, and having Salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even a c**t, the foal of a donkey."

Jesus was silent before his accusers.

Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey / c**t.

When Jesus said "...this is the New Covenant in my blood, Which is poured out for you".

And before Jesus passed away He said "it is done".
