- Cloudy Creek Private Nature Reserve is on the Vaal River Barrage, 6 km upstream of the Barrage wall. It is North and East facing, which is preferable to most of the River properties, which face south.
- The whole property is 639 hectares, while the Reserve comprises 453 hectares, with 6.7 kilometers of waterfrontage, including the peninsula. (If you like, the Reserve is just on a thousand acre
s in extent). There are over 15 km of roadways on the property, so plenty of space for jogging and cycling. The southern portion of the farm, south of the tar road, has a 1.2 km airstrip and a 3km four-wheeler track for those who wish to indulge in a bit of off-roading.
- Only 48 Sectional Title residential units available. 26 have already been sold, and, of these, 11 houses are complete, and one is in the process of construction. All infrastructure is in place, save for individual soak-aways, which are installed at construction. Boatlockers can be built according to demand, but you cannot own a boatlocker unless you own a Residential Section.
- Vacant sites are priced from R1.5 million upwards. We offer an in-house, attractive finance option : a 15% cash deposit, and the balance payable over 20 years @ prime minus 2%, with no penalty for early settlement on the site. Building has to be financed by the buyer.
- Cloudy Creek's access to the Vaal River provides owners with well over 60 km of navigable waterways on the most ideal power-boating and inland watersports venue in the Country.
- There are over 460 head of game, comprising 13 species, that occur on the property, ranging from Zebra down to Springbok.
- Dogs are welcome on the property, and all owners either live there with their pets, or bring them over weekends. The obvious caveat is that pets need to be controlled, and cannot roam at will.
- There is good security, with an in-house "Armed response", provided by a retired Police Captain who lives on Cloudy Creek. With five of the houses permanently occupied, there is always a presence, and the three night watchmen on duty each night, patrol on bicycles, and are equipped with two way radios, spotlights, pangas and truncheons.
- There is a boat launching and retrieval service on weekends and holidays, and ample mooring space for boats at 32 jetties.
- We have a lovely, friendly community who all get on well together and love living at Cloudy Creek.....they are forever teasing one another on our WhatsApp group, and there is plenty of visiting and jollification amongst them.
- Cloudy Creek is less than 10 km from Sasolburg, where good shopping (Woolies, Spar, Checkers, etc.) It is also less than an hour's drive from Johannesburg, so excellently situated.
