We were recently at an event and noticed that many Managing Agents are still registered with a Real Estate FFC instead of a Managing Agency FFC.

A lot of people don’t even realise there’s a difference — which means they’re complying with the wrong sector.

If you’re a Managing Agent, you should be registered correctly with the PPRA for your industry. It’s not only important for compliance, but can also save you unnecessary costs and admin in the long run - no Principal needed!

All firms that manage property, must hold a MA FFC with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority. This is law. Many Managing Agents are still incorrectly registered as traditional Real Estate Firms without even realising the compliance risks involved.
