🏠 RE/MAX NATIONAL HOUSING REPORT | Q2 2026

The latest numbers show a residential property market navigating continued economic uncertainty, with national transaction volumes down year-on-year.

But there are also positive signs. 📈

✨ RE/MAX continued to outperform the broader market, with reported sales up 6.4% year-on-year.

✨ The total value of residential property sales nationally increased by approximately 3.91%.

✨ KwaZulu-Natal remains one of the three major drivers of South Africa’s residential property market, alongside Gauteng and the Western Cape.

And importantly, fewer transactions don’t necessarily mean less demand. In areas where stock remains limited, strong buyer demand can continue to support property values.
