What a wonderful Father's Day celebration at Welkom Retirement Village! 🔥🥩🎙️

With the fires going, the smell of a delicious braai in the air, and the sound of laughter all around, our residents enjoyed a special day of good food, great company, and a live broadcast from Gold FM.

As Sunette Jooste and Rowan shared on air, this is a new chapter for our Village – one where every voice is heard, peace has been restored, and a true sense of community is being rebuilt.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable. Here's to many more moments of friendship, joy, and togetherness at Welkom Retirement Village. ❤️

🎵 🎶 On Thursday, 7 May 2026, Welkom Retirement Village had the pleasure of welcoming learners from Goudveld Hoërskool, who entertained our residents with beautiful music and song for Mother's Day. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the special visit, and tea and refreshments were shared afterwards in a warm atmosphere of fellowship and joy. Thank you to Goudveld Hoërskool for visiting us. 🎵🎶

☕🧁Friday Coffee Shop ☕🍰

Once a month our residents look forward to our Friday Coffee Shop at Welkom Retirement Village.

Homemade cakes, tarts and other delicious treats are lovingly prepared and sold. The eats are enjoyed together over a cup of coffee and good conversation. It is always a special time of fellowship and a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.🫖🥮

💛We were blessed to welcome the St Luke’s Methodist Church Ladies Ministry, Golden Hour, to Welkom Retirement Village for a beautiful afternoon of fellowship, love and care.

The ladies spent time together sharing conversation, encouragement and plenty of smiles. These visits are always so special and greatly enjoyed by our residents.

Ladies are warmly invited to join us for an afternoon of fellowship, some crafting at times and fun. There is always a place for you at Golden Hour. 💛

💙 Yesterday, we bid farewell to Bets van Niekerk, one of our beloved residents. Bets has been part of our village family since 2014. She is moving to the Cape to be closer to her family, and we pray that God’s richest blessings will go with her on this new chapter.
We will miss seeing her around the village and she will always hold a special place in our hearts. 💙
