took us to the Tea Room at Langkloof Roses this week and honestly, we didn't want to leave. Such a relaxed, cosy little spot - perfect for a slow breakfast or light lunch, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier.

If you haven't been, the farm offers way more than just the Tea Room too - picnics, hiking, tennis, rose picking and more, all bookable if you're planning a day out.

Worth the drive.

This week's stop was something special - We popped in at Redemption, a true Wellington gem, tucked away on the family's farm at Bainskloof Pass.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful, patiently guiding you through the options until you find exactly the style that suits you. Every single piece is handcrafted with real care - a tradition that started when a young Arnold learned the art of leatherwork from an old family friend, and has been passed down ever since.

Our favourite part? Every product carries a name - after a family member, a close friend, or one of their own loyal staff. It's those little personal touches that make Redemption so much more than just a leather shop. 🤎

brought us to FEIT Coffee today ☕️

From a mobile stand in lockdown to a full-blown local favourite - Bain Street, Paarl, and now Huguenot High too. The coffee was excellent, the treats even better, and the team behind the counter couldn't have been friendlier.

What a day. 2,200kg of dog food raised for animals in our communities who need it most — and it's still not enough.

In our poorer communities, dog food isn't always available. Sometimes it's never available. Alongside handing out food, our field workers teach children to care for and respect animals — because real change starts young.

Huge thanks to Drakenstein Animal Rescue, Wellington SPCA and Paarl Doenit for the work you do every single day. To Paarl Agrimark, for your incredible contribution. To the Harcourts Foundation, for making this possible. And to Paarl Post for telling our story, everyone who helped load vehicles, and Fego Caffe Paarl Agrimark for the coffee that kept us going.

2,200kg down. The need never stops. Neither will we. 🐾

This week’s check-in took us to the sweetest little corner at the Old Tannery - Three Sisters Books. 💛

What started three years ago as a tiny second-hand book shop, born from the passion of three sisters wanting to do something special after retirement, has grown into a beautiful, cosy nook where you can simply slow down and escape the hustle and bustle. 📖✨

Grab a book and find a sunny spot to read, join one of their creative art projects, bring along your yarn and crochet, or simply pop in for a little quiet time. 🧶🎨 And we love that you can also donate your pre-loved books — books they can’t use are passed on to a local children’s home, giving them a second life. ❤️

🐾💙 WE BLEW PAST ALL EXPECTATIONS! 💙🐾

What started with a goal of 1 ton turned into an incredible 2+ tons of pet food collected! 🥹🙌

Friday, we got to celebrate the amazing handover and, more importantly, the incredible generosity of every person who donated, shared our posts, supported our fundraisers or simply helped spread the word. Every bag, every rand and every act of kindness made a difference. 🐶🐱❤️

A very special THANK YOU to our incredible partners, Agrimark Paarl and the Harcourts Foundation, for standing behind this initiative and helping us turn a big goal into an even bigger reality. 🙏💙

Meet John — one of the friendly faces who greets us with the biggest smile when we arrive at the office each morning. ❤️ John creates the most beautiful beaded wire art, which he proudly sells at the back of SPAR in the parking area, right next to our office.
