MPEZENI TRADITIONAL AUTHORITY PRAISES MOYO'S KAPINDE COMMUNITY PROJECTS
The traditional authority in Chief Mpezeni's Chiefdom has paid tribute to Luangeni MP Moses Moyo for transforming Kapinde village in Chipata District, Eastern Province.
Kapinde Vice Headman Joseph Mbewe stated that Moyo has built a teacher’s staff house using personal resources.
Mbewe explained that Moyo observed the school has a high number of teachers struggling with accommodation, and good housing is needed to support learners.
He expressed satisfaction that Moyo facilitated, through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), electricity being taken to Kapinde, which has brought economic benefits.
Mbewe highlighted that Moyo lobbied President Hakainde Hichilema, and now the area has a phone network tower, a clinic, and a reliable road.
He also welcomed the construction of the Kapinde Health Post, financed through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Mbewe explained that, before the facility’s establishment, villagers were compelled to travel to Gwanuka and Jerusalem for medical services.
He noted that the new clinic now serves 18 villages, including Dulila, Kapinde, Mukwekwe, Mushasho, Kachele, Chinyama, and Musazula.
