AS A BEGINNER KNOW THE BREED TO GO FOR IN EVERY SEASON, POOR QUALITY CHICKS CAN CONTRIBUTE TO ABOUT 95% - 99% LOSSES.
Always order chicks from trusted breeders to avoid the following.
✅ LOW RESISTANCE TO DISEASES:
√Certain breeds get attacked by any disease easily,as a result birds grow under medical attention with high mortality rates which's extremely cost,every time spend on medications.
> when antibiotics are over introduced to birds,they ready to stunted growth.
> This is common to certain breeds in rain season.
✅ GROWTH DIFFERENCE: This is were birds have different sizes which prolongs selling.
√ Instead of finishing supplying 6 weeks they can go up 10 week with high consumption which leads to over spending on feed.
✅ POOR GROWTH(stunted growth):This is were birds do not respond to any kind of management.
√ On this one, you can use the best feed still the growth remains under weight and slow,growth maybe uniform but very poor, were by a broiler starts flying in the poultry house and delays hitting marketable sizes.
√ This is common with certain breeds during hot season.
✅ MARKETING CHALLENGE: When the growth is poor, automatically marketing is a problem.
√ Whereby birds sizes aren't competable due to small sizes no big chests and are supplied in small numbers ,it's very cost when birds aren't supplied in big numbers,more feed will be bought to sustain there daily consumption.
✅ UNNECESSARY PHYSICAL DISORDER: Birds will have certain disabilities like lem legs, paralysis and neck bending from nowhere, failing to move to access feed and water.
√ Birds of that kindly always can't be Sold, therefore the number which will be supplied will be low as planned, that lead to high loses.

√ All breeds can have the above challenges but it has to be normal,certain breeds it's beyond normal in certain seasons.
MY EXPERIENCE.
√ Breeds goes with seasons in terms of growth except for Ross 308, like in hot season hybrid bread responds well and it's good for beginners.
