Guess Who I Reconnected With at Family Legacy CampLife?

Olivia Tutu- a trailblazer, a purpose-driven leader, and a powerful force for change.

We first worked together as interns at Family Legacy’s CampLife back in 2019, and I’m beyond grateful that our paths crossed again this year, in 2025.

Since then, I’ve been following her journey online — and believe me when I say, God is using her in extraordinary ways. Through Youth on Sustainable Development, where she serves as Founder & Director, Olivia is leading impactful media and advocacy work that uplifts communities and amplifies youth voices.

What inspires me most? Her deep belief in equal support for both girls and boys — a mission that aligns closely with our work at The Young Boy Awake .

“Empowered women empower the world — and Olivia is living proof.”
It was a true honor reconnecting, learning, and sharing ideas with you again, Olivia. The world truly needs more leaders like you. 🙌🏽💚

Giving Back Where It All Began | Internship with Family Legacy

For those who have followed my journey, you may know that Family Legacy sponsored my education from Grade 8, through my certificate at African Christian University, and my bachelor’s degree at Africa University in Zimbabwe. Through hard work and divine grace, I later earned a master’s in Human Rights, Peace, and Development.

To me, this isn’t just a success story, it’s a testimony.

I have seen God as Elohim (the Mighty One), El Roi (the God who sees), Jehovah Jireh (my provider), and Yahweh Sabaoth (the Lord of Heaven's Armies).

This June, I returned as an intern with Family Legacy, walking alongside American ambassadors and serving Zambian children — many of whom remind me of my younger self. This isn’t just work. It’s a full-circle moment. The support I received was a gift I can never repay, but I can give back.

That’s also why I founded The Young Boy Awake (YBA), an initiative focused on empowering young men through education, mentorship, and mental health support.

Every day of this internship reminds me of where I came from, who helped me rise, and the kind of man I want to be.

🙏🏽 Grateful.
🎓 Committed.
💙 Still serving.

More updates soon — the journey continues.
