Police Investigate Vannesa's Death
A young woman from Kafue belived to be between 20 and 25 was found dead in her rented apartment in Ngombe Compound, Minestone area of Lusaka.
The deceased was discovered with her face and neck covered with a black plastic, raising suspicion around the circumstances surrounding her death.
Police officers rushed to the scene after being alerted by concerned members of the community, who had noticed a foul smell coming from the house.
Upon arrival, police discovered the body in a decomposed state, suggesting that it may have been in the apartment for nearly two months.
The woman was reportedly living alone at the time of her death, while her family resides in Kafue.
The lifeless body was first discovered by a female friend and workmate from Sunking, who became worried after failing to hear from her for a long period.
Police have since launched investigations to determine the cause of death and whether foul play was involved.
No arrests have been made so far..
