M E G A Projects.

Well not exactly 'Mega' but a 7000 bird chicken coop is a big deal.

The structure measures 55m by 12m. It has a steel column and truss (portal frame) build, with brick up to 1m. The openings are finished with an assorted array of steel mesh wire and rebars.

Concrete finishes. Feeling like running away from the traditional plaster and paint feel? Why not try concrete finishes?

Concrete is not only a functional material, but also an aesthetic one. The finish of concrete can greatly influence the appearance and character of a building. In this blog post, we will explore some of the most impressive concrete finishes that have been used in contemporary architecture.

One of the most common and simple concrete finishes is the **broom finish**. This finish is achieved by dragging a broom across the surface of wet concrete, creating a textured pattern that improves traction and prevents slipping. Broom finish is often used for sidewalks, driveways, and outdoor stairs.

Another popular concrete finish is the **exposed aggregate finish**. This finish is obtained by removing the top layer of cement paste from the concrete, exposing the aggregates (such as gravel, sand, or stone) that are mixed with the cement. Exposed aggregate finish can create a variety of visual effects depending on the size, shape, color, and distribution of the aggregates. Exposed aggregate finish can also enhance the durability and skid resistance of concrete.

A third type of concrete finish is the **smooth-trowelled finish**. This finish is achieved by using a steel trowel to smooth and level the surface of wet concrete, creating a flat and uniform appearance. Smooth-trowelled finish is often used for interior floors, walls, and ceilings, as well as for architectural elements such as columns and beams. Smooth-trowelled finish can also be polished to produce a glossy and reflective surface.
