✨ Our hearts melted at 6:30PM last night... Meet Giselle! ✨

There is nothing quite like welcoming a new life to the stud, and on a calm, starry night, this beautiful girl made her grand entry yesterday evening!

Giselle of Paradise Friesians is by our Australian Permit Stallion, Drys van de Terpen (Ster AAA), out of our Ster mare, Elza van Gelder.

She has already stolen our hearts with her sweet, kind, and incredibly friendly nature. She has a wonderfully gentle soul and is so naturally curious about everything around her. 🖤

What a perfect note to end on — Giselle marks the official wrap on another safe and successful foaling season at Paradise Friesians. We are so proud of our mares and thrilled with the quality of this year's foals! 🥂🐴✨

🌅 A beautiful morning arrival! Welcome, Huxley! ✨

Yesterday at the very reasonable hour of 6:45 AM, we welcomed a huge, beautiful new c**t to the stud!

Introducing Huxley of Paradise Friesians.

About Huxley:
⭐️The Build: He is a big, incredibly leggy c**t. Taking after his tall dam, we are expecting him to mature into a very substantial boy! 🦒

⭐️Personality: He has the most gentle soul. He is already very, very friendly, inquisitive, and super chatty with us. 🥰

⭐️Health: He passed his new foal vet check and IgG testing with flying colors, ensuring he is off to a perfect, healthy start! 🩺✨

Exceptional Parentage:
💫His Dam - Inge fan Friesian Dreams - Ster: Inge is one of our tall mares, and she consistently produces sensational, hardy offspring. She is a Ster mare who was Champion at the 2023 FNQ Keuring and Reserve Champion at the 2019 SA Keuring (as a foal). Most importantly, she passes on her wonderful, kind, and easygoing temperament. Her foals are highly proven in the ring. The two that have attended keurings received exceptional results: one earned a 1st Premie, the Breeders Cup, and Best Australian Bred 1-2yo C**t, while the other earned a 2nd Premie and Reserve Champion at the 2023 FNQ Keuring (as a foal). 🏆

💫His Sire - Drys vd Terpen - Ster AAA: Our Australian Permit Stallion, Drys, is equally impressive as a producer, already boasting two 2nd premie offspring (also presented as foals). Safe travels to your new forever home, beautiful Ebony! 🖤🚐

Today is a bittersweet day at Paradise Friesians as we officially wave goodbye to our gorgeous filly, Ebony of Paradise Friesians.

As you can see in the video, she loaded onto the transport truck like an absolute dream. After all her preparation and her fantastic 57-second first practice load, she took this big next step completely in her stride.

I am definitely going to miss this very special girl and her wonderful, brave personality around the paddocks. But as sad as it is to see her go, I am equally thrilled for her new family. She is so incredibly trainable and willing, and I just know she has such a bright future ahead of her! ✨

⏱️ From 8 months of incremental learning to loading in under 57 seconds! 🤯🖤

Check out the video of Ebony of Paradise Friesians absolutely nailing her very first float loading session! 🚐💨

We believe in a slow, steady approach, and this result is the product of 8 months of incremental learning. She took to the float like an absolute professional, calmly walking straight on in under 57 seconds on her first ever attempt! 🏆

Ebony is truly showing us the absolute best of her parents —she is incredibly brave and bold just like her dam, Sabie of Ellis Park, and has inherited that super trainable, willing nature that we love so much from her sire, Drys van de Terpen. 🧠✨

We are making sure she is fully prepared, confident, and stress-free as she gets ready to head off to her new home very soon. Whoever is welcoming this special girl to their family is incredibly lucky! 🏡❤️

☀️ The sun is finally shining, and our newest addition is thriving! ✨

After what felt like endless rain, the sun has finally peeked through and come out to play today! It has been absolutely beautiful out in the paddocks, giving us the perfect opportunity to just sit back and watch baby Imperia soak up those much-needed rays.

We are so thrilled to report that she is doing fantastic! Now that she has had a few days to settle into the world, you can really see her starting to fill out beautifully. Those incredibly long legs of hers are straightening up perfectly, and she is getting stronger, faster, and more confident with every passing day. 🦒💨

Valentina is continuing to be the most wonderful mum, keeping a close eye on her while letting her explore the yard. We are just so incredibly happy with how this special filly is developing. 🖤

⛈️ A stormy night brought us something truly spectacular! Welcome, Imperia! ✨

On the 25th of June at 10:20PM, right in the middle of a wild storm, we welcomed a stunning new addition to the stud.

Imperia of Paradise Friesians represents a very special milestone for our program - she is out of the very first mare we bred ourselves, the beautiful Valentina of Paradise Friesians (Inge fan Friesian Dreams Ster x Dirk T. van Sessing Ster AAA), and by our magnificent stallion Drys van de Terpen (Ster AAA).

Valentina handled the birth incredibly well and took the stormy arrival entirely in her stride. We are so proud to see her already demonstrating all the beautiful attributes of a loving, caring mum to her new baby.

A few details about our new girl:
⭐️ The Build: She is a seriously leggy filly! Taking after her dam, we are expecting Imperia to mature into a very tall and striking mare. 🦒

⭐️ Health: She passed her vet check and IgG test with absolute flying colors. She is strong, healthy, and thriving! 🩺🌟

⭐️ Personality: She is already so bold and curious! Imperia is enthusiastically exploring her surroundings and immediately approaches us for cuddles whenever we walk into her yard. It is an absolute joy watching her zoom around so confidently on those strong new legs! 💨🥰

We are completely over the moon with this girl. What an absolutely perfect way to kick off our foaling season! 🖤
