Finishing the week with a little extra cuteness at the New Life Women’s Centre.

The women had the opportunity to care for four kittens for a week while helping find them loving homes.

It was a week of cuddles and cuteness! 🫶🏻

You know those special people who see a need and simply get in and help?

That’s Ray and Simone. Quiet heroes, giving their time, skills and generosity without ever looking for recognition.

They have generously donated the tiles to help improve our New Life Women’s Centre, and now they’re rolling up their sleeves and laying them together!

We are so grateful for their generosity, practical support and willingness to make a difference to Teen Challenge QLD.

On Friday, Teen Challenge QLD had the pleasure of catching up with Ps Nick Booth from Runcorn Christian Church, and there's a special connection that goes back many years.

Ps Nick actually completed his youth work qualification through Teen Challenge QLD back in the day!

We value the relationships we have built with churches over the years and are so grateful for pastors and leaders who share our heart for seeing lives restored.

Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals, families and communities.

Addiction has a ripple effect. But so does restoration.

Last week, Teen Challenge QLD had the privilege of being part of the Australian Christian Churches QLD & NT State Conference.

It was wonderful connecting with pastors and leaders, having meaningful conversations about the impact of addiction in our communities and how Teen Challenge QLD can equip churches to better understand addiction and support those who are struggling.

Together, we can be a voice of hope to this generation and the next. We believe the local church has a vital role to play in responding to addiction.

Fresh paint, new spaces and a whole lot of love poured into New Hope House!

We’ve been blown away by the generosity of Bek and the incredible Cornerstone Group team!

From refreshed bedrooms and new cupboards to a fantastic outdoor deck and BBQ area, they’ve gone above and beyond to make New Hope House feel even more welcoming.

For young men experiencing homelessness, this means more than just a comfortable place to stay. It’s somewhere to relax, share meals, build friendships and feel a sense of belonging.

Because sometimes the conversations that change lives begin simply by sitting around a table!

To Bek and the Cornerstone team, thank you for putting God’s love into action in such a practical way. Your generosity is helping create a place where young men feel valued, supported and cared for.

We are so grateful! 🙌

A special moment in the life of our New Life Women’s Centre.

Recently, our staff and women had the joy of celebrating our much-loved caseworker Meg on her wedding day.

Meg has poured so much care, encouragement, and support into the lives of the women at the Centre, so it was especially meaningful for them to share in such a special occasion.

We love the sense of family and community at the New Life Women's Centre and the joy of celebrating life’s milestones together.

Some spaces feel special the moment you walk in, and Well Life’s new office and community space in Toowoomba is one of them.

It was wonderful to celebrate with Elspeth, Travis, CEO Michelle and the Well Life Services team at the official opening of this incredible new space.

We are so grateful for Well Life’s continued partnership over many years and their heart for strengthening individuals, families and the wider community.

Congratulations, Well Life, on this exciting new chapter.

There is something beautiful about watching scattered pieces slowly become whole.

One of the women at our New Life Women’s Centre recently completed this beautiful puzzle, seeing it through right to the end.

It was such a simple but powerful picture of perseverance.

Recovery can be like that too.

It is the brave work of rebuilding, one step at a time, until hope begins to come back into focus and a woman starts to see who she was created to be. ❤️

Thank you to Mick and the team at Sparc Electrical & Air for generously donating their time to install new bedroom fans at New Hope House.

With summer coming, these fans will make a real difference for the young men staying at New Hope House.. A safe, comfortable place to sleep and a good night’s rest can help someone feel settled, supported and ready to take their next steps forward.

We’re so grateful for local businesses who practically support young people experiencing homelessness.

Thanks, Mick and team, for helping make New Hope House feel a little more like home. 💙

Today we honour Grahame, who has faithfully served on the board of Teen Challenge QLD for 16 years.

His service has been far more than a board role. It has been a faithful investment into the men, women and families whose lives have been impacted through Teen Challenge QLD.
