One of the clearest examples is Albert Street, where construction of the new underground Cross River Rail station is nearing its final stages. Once operational, it will provide a new access point into the southern CBD and connect commuters more directly with Queen Street Mall, Queen’s Wharf, QUT Gardens Point, the parliamentary precinct and the City Botanic Gardens.
