What an incredible evening last week at our Sip & Share networking event at Wharf One, proudly sponsored and co-hosted by Westpac.

The event brought together women from across real estate, finance and business to connect, share experiences and build confidence through conversation.

A highlight of the evening was hearing from REINT President Carol Need, who joined us as our real estate industry expert. Carol shared valuable insights into the home-buying process and practical tips for purchasing property from an agent's perspective.

We also heard from Kellie West from Westpac, who provided practical guidance on borrowing for a home, whether as a first home buyer, investor, or parent looking to help a child enter the property market.

The evening concluded with a conversation between REINT CEO Jo Fitzpatrick and Westpac Regional GM NT Lisa Carmichael, exploring career progression, backing yourself and building a personal brand. Key messages included the importance of listening to those around you, seeking out formal and informal mentors, and recognising that those around you can often help overcome self-doubt. When it comes to personal brand, consistency matters. Being consistent in how you treat people, communicate and respond to challenges builds trust and helps others know what to expect from you.

The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive and reinforced the value of networking events like these. Often, it's the small insights, connections and conversations that provide the ideas and confidence to take the next step.
