You might have seen Northshore Hamilton making headlines this week.

Five Queensland development groups have been selected to deliver nearly 2,200 homes across the riverfront precinct, alongside new retail, dining, commercial space and a hotel.

The site was previously earmarked for the Brisbane 2032 Athletes Village. With those plans now shifted to Bowen Hills, the focus has moved to creating a permanent mixed-use neighbourhood. For us, the interesting part is what happens around a project of this scale.

Major investment brings more than new homes. It brings new businesses, infrastructure and activity, changing the way an area is used and, over time, how surrounding pockets are perceived.

For buyers, understanding where this investment is happening, and what it could mean for the surrounding areas, is part of reading Brisbane beyond what’s currently on the market.
