Less screen time, more family time, every day at Googong township. 🏡

Swim lessons. A tennis or pickleball hit with the kids. One more lap of the BMX pump track before dinner. Maybe a round of frisbee golf? Just a normal afternoon here with endless activities to get amongst.

And it keeps growing — a new full-service supermarket including Coles, the Googong Town Centre, and The Glenrock Googong are all taking shape right now.

What a day at Kitefest! 🪁

Rockley Oval was full of colour this Father's Day, with giant kites soaring overhead.

This year's kites really were impressive, we saw whale sharks, dragons, butterflies, a turtle, and even a Spider-Man kite made an appearance! Dads were treated to lunch from the Googong Hogs sausage sizzle and a spread of food trucks.

The EPA Dance students put on a great show too. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a great day. See you next year!

This Sunday, head to Rockley Oval and watch the sky come alive with giant kites, family fun, food trucks and live entertainment. This is a FREE event, and anyone is welcome.

Meet Kristy, a true force for good in the Googong and wider Monaro community.

As founder of Win The Day Charity, Kristy supports families of children diagnosed with rare cancers — offering emotional, financial and practical help when it's needed most. Her journey began in 2019 when her daughter Ka'ili was diagnosed with a rare cancer, inspiring Kristy to fill the gaps she saw families falling through. Since then, the charity has supported 135+ families and raised over $500,000.

Kristy was named Monaro Woman of the Year 2023 and was a NSW Local Hero nominee for the Australian of the Year Awards. A former Wallaroo (Australian women’s rugby union player), full-time assistant principal, and mother of three, Kristy somehow still finds time to lead her charity on a completely voluntary basis.

In 2024, Kristy broke new ground by being appointed the inaugural female Co-President of Rugby Australia, serving a voluntary two-year term through to 2026. Her leadership continues to inspire change and inclusion at the highest levels of sport.

Preschool to Year 12 — right here in Googong, and it just got even better.

Designs have been revealed for our second NSW Department of Education public school, a new primary school and preschool opening Term 1, 2028, for 650 kids (plus 60 preschoolers a day).

It'll join the existing Googong Public School and the new high school (opening 2027), giving families even more choice close to home.
